Keith McIntyre Jr.
Keith has been driving since he was 5 years old. He started in quarter midgets in 1999. He quickly advanced through the ranks winning 94 times in 5 years. He then moved on to the 270 Micro Sprint class.
He raced at Green Wood Valley Action Track in the rookie class. In the first 12 races he won 4 times so the crew chief thought it was time to move to the regular 270 class. This meant that Keith would be competing against adults at the age of 11. For the remainder of that season Keith got many top fives and tens which was a great feat in itself. Our team started the 2005 racing season in the 270 micro division. He raced at Path Valley Speedway and Green Wood Valley Action Track he won 3 times at Path Valley Speedway in the Regular 270 micro sprint division at the age of 12.
For 2007 Keith Sr. decided it was time to move up again to the premier Micro Sprint division, the 600cc Micro Sprint Division. So our team ordered our HYPER chassis. For the 2007 racing season we raced at Path Valley Speedway and Green Wood Valley Action track again. This was also the first season that we took the trip down to Little Rock Arkansas for the I-30 Nationals. That trip was definately the highlight of the season. We missed qualifieing for the I-30 Nationals by 2 cars, so in the end being 28th out of 140 in our first season out wasnt bad.
For 2008 we decided to go a different direction with our engines and chassis. We changed from the Yamaha R6 to the Kawasaki 636 and from HYPER chassis to Bullrider Chassis. This was a good move for us as it showed in the results. With one win and countless top fives 2008 was a good season for Keith Jr. and McIntyre Motorsports. At the start of 2009 Keith had a few goals, To make all of the PA speed week races, To make the I-30 Nationals, and to win 3 times. The I-30 Nationals got rained out so that goal was un-achievable. Durring speed week Keith did great making every show except Path Valley Speedway and Lincoln Speedway and finishing 11th overall in speed week points with 162 total entries.
To finish a great season Keith won the WINGLESS summer showdown at Hamlin Speedway. For 2010 Keith is going to set a little higher goal for the season, Keith wants to win at least 5 races, win a speedweek race and win a race at the florida nationals.
